Indocnemis orang is the largest platycnemidid recorded in Thailand. Many people overlook it along the nature trail near the stream or waterfall, as well as Coeliccia. But when they pay attention to it, They love it because it's bigger and more beautiful than those found in their backyard (especially on violet patches in front of synthorax). And it lets you to come closer.

Like Coeliccia, young male is black and yellow. As it ages, front of sythorax becomes violet and the lateral yellow stripe on synthorax and mostly part of S9 and S10 turn to bright blue. Female is like those of Coeliccia but larger. Its body is black and yellow. Patch on S8-9 are white as female C. chromothorax.
