Can odonates tell you what season it is now? The answer is YES! When winter comes, besides the winter breeze (in the morning), I always see Aciagrion pallidum and Trithemis pallidiervis around my home. T. pallidinervis is unmistakable species especially the way it perches. It often perches on dry twig in sunny day.The hindlegs are extra long when you see it in side view.

Male is black with green markings. The synthorax is reddish brown. Wing bases are ochre. Female is similar in markings but paler.
You can see this species throughout Thailand especially in the winter.
