Mortonagrion aborense

Scientific name: Mortonagrion aborense (Laidlaw, 1914)
Family: Coenagrionidae
Thai name: แมลงปอเข็มขีดกระบอง

male
In the same trip as described in previous post, I also saw about 20 species of odonates. It was my first time to see Mortonagrion aborense. It lives around a pond and stream in the foot of mountain. It listed as uncommon species but I think it's rather overlooked.
female
There are two Mortonagrion species in Thailand, viz. M. aborense and M. falcatum. While the former is widespread species found throughout the country, the latter is recorded few times in single locality. Further explorations and surveys are needed to confirm this status.
